Handcrafted textile sculpture exploring community, history and ancestry through crochet. Yeboah creates these uniquely constructed dolls to engage with themes of shame, loss, sexuality and self-love. Her work has an emphasis on inclusion and diversity with Yeboah’s representation of marginalized community members.
With this work, the artist explores fresh colour combinations of chocolatey browns, soft grays and creamy whites.
This artwork pairs beautifully with a doll from the same series, Abiola’s Sun.
