Laura Jane Petelko

Laura Jane Petelko is a Canadian photographic artist, currently based in Toronto, Canada. Laura documents times of deep transformation and collaborates with women to use their bodies as a medium to convey a message. For her recent series MA Peltelko collaborated with dancers from the National Ballet of Canada and the series was exhibited at Lyceum Gallery, Toronto and Cavalier Gallery in Palm Beach, New York and Connecticut. Her nostalgic and sparse Endless Gone series was represented by Brussels-based Vogelsang Gallery and presented at the 2018 opening of the New York City's Highline project by the late Zaha Hadid. Soft Stories, her series that explores our longing for connection with nature and intimacy was featured in Times Square as part of Cube Fair, Scope Fair Miami. Her work is known for its personal and intimate subject matter, while investigating the nature of one's identity at times of transformation.
